Changing up such a big piece of furniture can be a major expense and take a lot of planning. Here are a few tips to spice up your space without breaking the bank or reupholstering furniture.
- Add another item in the same color or similar shape as the couch. This will subtly draw your eye away from the couch giving it less dominance in your visual field.
- Adding a new texture like a sheepskin throw can soften up the couch.
- Try out lots of new throw pillows in different patterns and colors.
- Use a throw blanked strategically placed to add color or dimension. In the photo above, a throw was used to create a stripe, a really interesting visual addition to the room.
