How You Can Use Windows to Insulate Your Home

iStock_000053546514_MediumHere are some suggestions to insulate your windows and keep your home warmer during this crazy winter:

  • Get some insulation film, which clings inside your windows as an extra layer.
  • Cellular shades do a decent job of keeping the cold out while still letting light in.
  • Heavy or layered curtains provide a good way to keep out both cold and light.
  • If you enjoy DIY, you can make Draft Snakes — fabric tubes filled sewn shut with rice inside.
